She felt called to pursue counseling to fulfill her purpose and make a more meaningful impact on people’s lives.
Clinical Approach
Julie helps clients understand how current and past experiences shape their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She focuses on discovering the origins of emotional distress through cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma-informed modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). EMDR and ART enable the brain to reprocess negative experiences, reducing their emotional charge and diminishing associated negative symptoms. This allows clients to reframe their experiences, alleviate symptoms such as anxiety and depression, and move towards healing and improved emotional well-being. Through this process, clients can heal from their wounds, build resilience, and embrace the joyful, fearless life that God intends for them.
