Clinical Approach

Thomas has experience using a variety of counseling techniques; however, he strives to listen and understand the client and use an approach that best suits that client. Thomas loves to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help his clients better understand the importance of their thoughts and beliefs and how they can affect their greater well-being. Through this Thomas strives to help individuals gain the skills needed to better control their thoughts and incorporate healthy and useful beliefs about themselves and others. Thomas also enjoys utilizing the skills and talents that clients already possess in the counseling process, attempting to make the process as personal and useful as possible.

Thomas’ overall counseling style can be described as casual as he attempts to truly be the best listener possible, allowing the client to be heard, while also giving guidance and skills that help the client realize their potential in overcoming the situation at hand and issues that may arise in the future.
