Erica Hyatt is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, Certified Family Life Educator-Provisional, and serves as Redefine’s Community Educator. She has been married for over 20 years, raised three children, and now experiences the blessing of being a grandparent to three precious little ones. Erica understands the value of family relationships at all stages of life and works with clients of all ages to find healing and hope. She also understands the unique experience of military families as she is married to a combat veteran, and works with military couples and families to better navigate those experiences.

Education and Experience

Erica holds a Masters Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University, with a focus on child & adolescent therapy. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Family Studies from Texas Woman’s University.

Erica interned at Redefine during her graduate program, and worked with clients of all ages, providing individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as play therapy. She co-led various workshops for parents and individuals during her internship and continues to serve as Redefine’s Community Educator.

Clinical Approach

Erica utilizes a collaborative approach, working with clients to find healing and hope, and equipping them with skills and tools to navigate life moving forward. She strives to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them in their efforts to reach their therapeutic goals, encouraging personal development by identifying and acknowledging potential growth areas and working toward that growth without fear of judgment.

When she is not in the office, Erica enjoys spending time with her family and her two basset hounds, Rocksy and Adrian. She loves weekend getaways to her family’s property in southeast Oklahoma, where she can “unplug” and enjoy the great outdoors. Her hobbies include camping, travel, and crafting.
